Student of Marketing
I chose to study at the University of Richmond after an internship preceding my senior year of high school sparked my interest in marketing. Working with Girardville Miners' Cooperative in New York City, I was exposed to the very systematic and tangible process involved in establishing a brand identity, a campaign and even a simple print ad. I identified with the fusion of creativity and methodology required for success in the field. While research and analysis pave the way for justification for a campaign, only an artistic eye can provide inspiration. Both my studies at UR and my recent work experience have served only to foster my passion and encouraged my eagerness to enter the world of marketing.
Student of Film
Growing up in Vermont, I was surround by a culture devoted to action sports. As an avid snowboarder and skateboarder, I always appreciated how a well made video could capture and share the feeling of both serenity and adrenaline that accompanies action sports. It inspired me to try my hand at replicating the feeling, adding to it, and making it available for everyone to enjoy. I'm a firm believer that with the right eye, any space and any action can be provocative and interesting - the process of making it so is what I find so entertaining.
